Fellowship of Faiths and Cultures club has organized another Interfaith lecture on 14th December 2009 with the cooperation of Foundation with Intercultural dialogue.Guest speaker Muhammed Cetin who received his PHD degree in Sociology from the University of Derby, UK and has taught at University of Houston and UT-Austin in the Religious Studies and Sociology Department from 2003-2008 and currently working as  the publications coordinator for the Institute for Interfaith Dialogue and a columnist for the Turkish daily Today's Zaman, gave a lecture themed as "Voluntary Altruistic Services: The Gulen Movement".
    In his lecture, at ASU Memorial Union - Gold Room, Mr. Cetin  examined the thought of Fethullah Gulen, an internationally renowned Turkish Muslim Scholar, author and education activist, described by some as “contemporary rumi”, and his impact on the millions of participants in a social phenomenon called the Gulen movement. Originating in Turkiye and becoming increasingly transnational, the movement represents a novel approach to the synthesis of faith and reason, peaceful coexistence with different religious groups in a liberal democracy, and service to humanity. After his speech , he answered  all the questions , clearly and honestly and shared different views with attendees mainly consist of ASU faculties and  grad students.
